Sanguine was my heart
a lilting melody played on, byheart
of memories that bequeath joy and sorrow
refusing to leave,till eternal tomorrow
ameloriating hope and reviving dreams,lost
now lay melting, the ice and frost
by thinking of clinging to her warmth
taciturn she remained,having led me to harm
inflecting all notions and trust
that have been laid down now to die of rust
overweighed by anguish and catharsis
'twas doomed from its genesis
